Flow Capacities and Pressures
1/5 hp with model 100 pump cylinder:
Maximum Total Head - 240 feet (104 psi)
Flow Rate GPM - 1.5
Pump Stroke Setting - 5.8"
Maximum Total Head - 160 feet (69 psi)
Flow Rate GPM - 2.0
Pump Stroke Setting - 6.9"
Maximum Total Head - 126 feet (54 psi)
Flow Rate GPM - 2.0
Pump Stroke Setting - 6.9"
Maximum Total Head - 92 feet (40 psi)
Flow Rate GPM - 2.0
Pump Stroke Setting - 6.9"
Maximum Total Head - 76 feet (33 psi)
Flow Rate GPM - 2.0
Pump Stroke Setting - 6.9"
Notes:
100 feet of head equals 43.3 PSI.
Example of total head calculation: The well water level is at 80 feet, the pump is at 100 feet and we want to deliver 30 psi from the pump head. 30 psi = 100/43.3 x 30 = 69 feet of head. Total head = 80 + 69 = 149 feet of total head. From the top chart, choosing the next highest head of 160 feet = 1.0 GPM.
We can supply complete solar powered systems that include a Simple Pump model 100, gearmotor, solar module(s), and drop pipe kits custom sized for your needs starting at about $2000 (batteries extra). Call or email us for details. Be sure to have information about the depth, water level and capacity of your well available when you call or include this in your email. Also indicate the location of your installation (city and state) so that we can compute the solar hours for your area.
If you are handy you can install a simple pump system yourself. If you live in Georgia, Western North Carolina, western South Carolina, Eastern Tennessee, Northwestern Alabama, South Florida, or Virginia we may be able to install for you. Jewelville General Store installs and services Simple Pumps, stand-by generators, solar electric systems and wood burning stoves, fireplaces, and furnaces. We can help you to discover the security and peace of mind of independent living.
Below is a schematic diagram on how you can tie the Simple pump into your house pressure system. With this arrangement, the 12V pump becomes the primary pumping source by coming on at 35 psi. The AC existing pump will come on at a lower - 30 psi if the 12v cannot keep up under high demand.
