This knife is handcrafted by master craftsman and artist Johnny Chattin. The 8-1/4 inch blade is hardened steel and hand engraved (not less expensive chemical etching) on both sides. These�have handcreafted blades�from a special�stainless steel that preserve the beauty of the artwork. Johnny freehand grinds his blades from raw stock. They are made to be easy to sharpen and to hold a razor sharp edge. The handle is your choice of carved antler (a beautifully detailed eagle head) or button tipped antler. The guard is solid brass cut, ground and polished from raw stock. The artistic detail and craftmanship is exquisite. The sheath is made of wood with belt loop and has an original design burned into it by Johnny Chattin. The sheath is a work of art in itself, but together the knife and sheath are museum and collector quality. These are often used for presentations. They are on display in public places and even in one museum inside a public school system. Johnny Chattin is a Cherokee belonging to the Long Hair Clan. His craftsmanship is famous, and his herritage shows in every piece of his work. No two are exactly alike. There is usually a waiting list for these one of a kind Johnny Chattin originals. Please allow two to three�weeks after payment before we ship. We ship insured via�USPS�Priority Mail�to the United States (Alaska and Hawaii require extra cost). Each knife comes with a certificate of authenticity which has been signed, sealed, trademarked and numbered by Johnny Chattin. Special order designs are available upon request, but may take up to six months to deliver. You may request mild steel instead of stainless if you desire. You are purchasing a knife that is almost complete, but will not be completed until after you select which style of handle you want (carved eagle head on antler tip or a plain button tipped antler). Allow two to three�weeks after placing and paying for your order for the knife to be completed with your choice of handle before we ship.
