It has a 27 inch fret board and is approximately 37 inches long with a 1 3/4 inch thick body. Features include side pins to store one melody string when flat picking. It has a 6 1/2 fret. This is an excellent player with a full voice. It comes in popular tunings including DAD. This beautiful dulcimer from Dahlonega Dulcimers is hand crafted by Tim Wilson. The finish is multiple coats of hand rubbed shellac topped with a fine-grade carnuba wax giving it a beautiful luster that is reminiscent of priceless antiques. Tim uses only solid wood in his dulcimers. The bottom and sides are cherry. The bottom is made from bookmatched cherry with an accent strip of walnut down the middle. The top is Walnut. The fret board and the scroll head are cherry. This creates a nice contrast of color against the walnut top. The measurements may vary slightly on each custom crafted dulcimer. This dulcimer not only sounds beautiful, but looks beautiful. It is heirloom quality.
