This cherry dulcimer has some oak trim and is a bit wider and more traditional looking than others. It has the tiger stripes typical in quarter-sawn wood, f-holes, 27 inch fretboard that includes a 6 1/2 fret, side pins to store one melody string when flat picking, and enclosed Ping tuner gears. The back is made from bookmatched quarter-sawn cherry. This is an excellent player with a full voice. It comes in popular tunings including DAD. This beautiful dulcimer from Dahlonega Dulcimers is hand crafted by Tim Wilson. The finish is multiple coats of hand rubbed blond shellac topped with a fine-grade carnuba wax giving it a beautiful luster that is reminiscent of priceless antiques. Tim uses only solid wood in his dulcimers. The total lengty of this dulcimer is 37 1/8 inches and the body is 1 3/4 inches deep. The measurements may vary slightly on each custom crafted dulcimer.
